The host does say that this is the only country in the world where we can have this type of discussion. That is incorrect and you are right to criticize. I simply do not like the classification of "Arrogant, naive American." - as if his being American is the reason he is arrogant and naive.

You're missing the point. It wasn't so much to say "America is the only place freedom lives" but to be thankful for the freedom that we still do have. Yes, there are many other nations of the world with freedom, but there are many others without it as well. As Americans we are thankful for the freedom we still have. Please do not use group quantification, it is the essence of the evil that exists today. Long live individualism and long live freedom.
