A sample of some of the projects that I worked on while freelancing at CNN in the On Air Promotions department. We usually had no more than 3 days to complete an assignment, and often my projects had to be completed in half a day. The pressure was intense, but it is very rewarding to go home in the evening and see your work on air. I worked with promotional producers assigned to the CNN programs. I designed segments and graphic elements needed for the on air promotion packages. I created graphics for editing with FCP or AVID, but some projects were edited by CNN Post on Autodesk Smoke systems. I also prepped graphics for the VizRT. Scot Safon leads the CNN Marketing and Promotion group. My creative directors were Aimee Schier and Robert Poulton. The CNN OAP department won over 10 PromaxBDA awards that year.
