If anyone is curious as to why Johnny Depp and the songs sound a bit off, and higher pitched than they should be, it's because this video would have been ripped from the PAL version which speeds up the frame rate from 24fps to 25fps - Pitch goes up about 4% or roughly a semi tone giving that odd sound to voices/songs.
The blu-ray has the correct 24fps and sounds and looks a lot better, especially the opening scenes from HWY. Hope it gets a proper release.

There so much been said about this band and i dont want to sound cliched. But there will never be another band like the doors, there music was otherworldly, hauntingly brilliant. The most unique american band ever, indeed the most unique band in the world ever.

I wish this documentary covered their first rehearsals more...like how all Jim's songs came to be.
Robby Krieger's first song he ever wrote launches into Number 1 on the music charts in 1967. How proud must he have felt? :D
Is that live video footage of them performing Light My Fire and The End available on the Perception box set?
