@therejectedprodigy Goth has no religious requirements, be it Satanic or Catholic or any other religion. In fact most Goths that I've seen are somewhat die-hard Christians.

Gothic style wasn't just a Germanic barbaric culture. The term associated with the Renaissance catholic style and elegant dark styled cathedrals. At the time that this art and architecture was known, it was thought to be rebellious to that period of time. Later in the late seventies, someone famous (forgot the guys name) called the elegant style of punk similar to Gothic art, thus the origin of the goth label. There is a lot i left out, but i am running out of space. Great job though.
