@Euriel1 I understand Hungarians. Kassa is a very important city for Hungary ... In this city was born Hungarian writer very inportant for Hungarian culture ... and more things which i don't know because i don't know Hungarian history very well. Theater in Kassa is similar to theater in Lwów - They are in similar place and from Austia - Hungary Monarchy architecture ... And Ungvár and Kárpátalja in U-kraine ?

Hungarians can understand the sorrow of the Polish people because of Lwów. Hungarian cities like Kolozsvár (today Cluj Napoca in Romania) or Kassa (Kosice) were ethnically and culturally cleansed by Romania and Czechoslovakia. Kolozsvár at WW2 had around 70% Hungarians, today only 18%. Kassa (Kosice) had also a Hungarian majority, now less than 6%. Even Bratislava lost its Hungarian-German majority (42% German, 40% Hungarian) after 1919, when it was forcefully taken away from Hungary.

This city has a Central European (Polish and K.u.K. character) without doubt. Due to forced population change by the Nazis and the Soviets, the majority population, which was Polish (75%) and Jewish (18%), has been replaced by Ukrainians (today 88%) and Russians. What was that if not an ethnic-cultural genocide?

@MsLikeaChola I understand. But Stalin never felt the need for justification of anything....Including annexation of Lviv :)
