This was the initial public launch of the Super Overly Large Octopus. It took place at the Berkeley Kite Fest on July 25, 2009. The inflatable kite was manufactured in New Zealand. Its head is about 40 feet (10 meters) square

Do you first attach a single kite to the back of the head to lift the head into the sky??

SOLO is 300' long, at a cost of about 60 thousand..
It was teathered to two Bobcat tractors.
