Richie Kotzen's appearance on the morning news on November 16, 2007. Features a live unplugged performance of the song 'Chase It' off of Richie's latest CD Go Faster (2007). (the old video lost sync and got completely messed up for some reason, so I re-uploaded it)

  • only richie could play like that thru such horrible gear....that guitar is probably some prop they found in the tv station basement.

  • @TupolevTech Actually, I'm pretty sure this is Richie's Taylor, the same one you can see him play in the 'Larger Than Life' video and some others. The problem is the horrible mic placement, + the mic itself is probably not a very good one, you can tell by the shape and size it's definitely not an instrument mic. But I do get your point, Richie sometimes does play odd acoustics, but those are lended to him for specific performances if he's on tour and/or doesn't have his own guitar with him.

  • It's (poorly) miked up with a $9.99 piece of sh*t (most likely dynamic) microphone, which would make pretty much any guitar sound like crap. This is probably a Taylor...

  • i saw poison live with Ritchie Kotzen ..... It was a complete joke watching a masterful musician like him being surrounded with such utter garbage. Thank god he banged who ever he had to bang to get tossed from them..... he's MUCH better off without them. Maybe his wallet isn't .... but his music is.

  • You know you gotta give it up It's too far gone to chase it... And when the feelings go you don't wanna have to fake it. All of the lies you love to tell you know I heard it all before... But it's over now... your just gonna have to face it... face It...
  • THat song fuckin' sucked!!!

  • R-I-C-H-I-E! NO "T", damn it!!!

  • @joeylodes

Yeah, Richie is one of a kind. He can play at this place too, even is the sound is shitty and the guys at the studio wonder what tihs dude is doing there.. I love him, even better with a fu...ing sound! Go faster!!

  • I say it again , nobody better than this man...

  • @joeylodes Man,how true is that..

  • That dude, from 0:58 to 1:03, sounds like the biggest square I've ever seen.

  • Richie is a good musician .

  • i love even with horrible mic and everything richies voice still sounds awsome.

  • @Ligimar1 that's how it's spelled though.

  • Look a 0:20 Man they even mispelled his name. Fucking morons..

  • its just me or that reporter looks like she use to be a poison groopy

  • Poison wrote a cool stuff with him!

But people, so ignorant that don't notice his great contribution in the music legacy as solo artist.

    Marvelous artist!

  • Camara man should be murdered...

  • he got kicked out of poison cuz he screwed the drummer's wife who was brett michales best friend

  • i may just the mic but that guitar sounds like shit

  • haha at 2:36 she says ricky kotzen, whahah

  • in that style of vocalization the basic steps are too: Stand up, aline your feet with your shoulders, bend the knees, turn your pelvis frontally a bit, maintain the chin somehow inclined and a straight back...that's just makes it easier to relax, sitting would end up being harder on his voice

  • Thanks for posting this. I love how he thinks about Poison and is careful not to mention what happened with him and Bobby (Bobby's girlfriend rather). I loved what he did with Poison. Brett Michaels wouldn't be on "Rock Of Love" if Richie hadn't helped Poison become a respectable (sounding) band.

This is cool to he what it's like to be him. I follow him on twitter but I'm not sure if it's really him tweeting but it is linked to his wevsite.

  • I wasn;'t his album with poison was probably there best, and he had some great guitar work with that band and penned there best song "until you suffer some." Poison really brought richie to the mainstream, and I'm sure he would say it was nothing but fun
