This talk about who's better, Xavier or John Butler, gets me down...John's probably a better guitar player, but Xavier's a better multi-instrumentalist. Compositionally, they're similar and both excellent. Rather than comparing the two, play them back to back and see how awesome THAT is!

Wow i tell you what, youtube is great place to find amazing music !! i watch a vid if i like the song i find the artist read comments then discover other amazing artists through those comments lol.

For me, Xavier Rudd and John Butler are both the best ive ever heard, i like xavier more because its just him, his emotions its like he is letting you inside his head and emotions, thats why i prefer Xaviers stuff, but dont get me wrong there cd's are played back to back and shuffled when my music goes on :)

Well said Peacefrog. Of course it's probably easier to say which performer you like better, but they are both equally talented musicians for different reasons. Just saw him perform live in Salt Lake City. The man puts on an amazing show!

Xavier is the man. I just seen him in concert a week ago. This song is about his son when he was a new born. Xav is full of love and he knows how to spread it outward to others.

Dude... I was on the raised portion of the floor just to the left as well. Maybe you are in some of my pics? LOL. I waited around and waited for Dave and Xav to come out. Talked with the both of them for about an hour or so. My third time seeing him. AWESOME SHOWS!!!!

I was thinking of sticking around to meet him. I've heard stories of him being really cool to talk to. But my wife and the people I was with had to work early the next morning and I had an hour drive ahead of me in the horrible fog. What did you guys talk about...man I'm jealous.

We spoke about the way his shows are evolving as well as his music. He remembered me from Detroit back in July and from Nov/06 here in London. He knows that I play the yidaki and we spoke about my playing and his of course. You know shit like that.
