iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 Untethered Jailbreak (Not Unlock)

I successfully jailbroke iPhone 3GS on the 3.1.3 firmware and baseband 05.12.01, using Spirit. Spirit is an untethred jailbreak developed by an iPhone hacker named Comex. You can only jailbreak, not unlock, the iDevices on 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and 3.2 firmware. It doesn't currently support iPhone OS 4.0 Beta.

With Windows there are some problems. So click on Spirit, then properties and then compatibility. I recommend choosing Wndows 98/Me. Comex has now realeased an update that should solve this problem and it won't delete all your photos from camera rolll
I showed for comformation Cydia app developed by Jay Freeman, my firmware version (3.1.3) and modem firmware (baseband) version (05.12.01). I also showed the Voice Control, only available on iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G. I rebooted the iPhone aswell, so you could see that in an untethered jailbreak. Shame is that, it doesn't feature a carrier unlock, which I so desperatly need. We would have to wait until this summer, when the 4.0 firmware comes out and with it an carrier unlock. Geohot has registered limera1n.com, so keep an eye on that, it maybe an unlock. And remember, don't try Thunderst0rm (now Sn0wstorm), beacause it's a fake.
UPDATE: Dev Team have realeased the carrier unlock finally. You can unlock any iPhone from basebands 04.26.08 to 05.12.01. The 05.13.04 baseband can only be unlocked on iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS only via custom upgrade.

7. Type in repo666.ultrasn0w.com
8. Install the carrier unlock
9. Reboot your iPhone
10. Congratulations you've now unlocked your iPhone!

@cholo98 If your 3GS runs the 3.1.3 firmware, jailbreak with Spirit and then unlock with Ultrasn0w from. If you are on 4.0 you can't jailbreak just yet (will be available very soon),

You can unlock it now. Just run Cysia and make sure you have 3.1.3 shsh on file. The upgrade to 4.0 then downgrade to 3.1.3 again. Then install ultrasnow because it works on the latest 5.13.04 baseband you can unlock the 3gs.

@AS3B4H Try to use ih8sn0w forecast program, or fuzzyband from Cydia (your iPhone must be jailbroken for that).

@AS3B4H You can only unlock the stock 3.1.3 firmware if you have he 05.08 bootloader, which very rare.

@nocaraf iPhone is not officially available in Slovenia. I bought it via an importer from Croatia, where the iPhones are factory locked. I gave the iPhone to the importer for update to 3.1.3 and it locked it self up. Originally it had 3.1.2. I was with a jailbreak for 3 months, and I'm still wating for an unlock. Spirit is compatible with 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and 3.2 (iPad only) firmwares.

Did the 3.1.3 and 05.12.01 come originally on the phone or did u upgrade to that?
