  • hey was this at the tubemakers facility?if so did you ever know of a guy john wheatcroft,he was killed by a dog and chain that sprung open and hit him in the head.then end result was john passed away 4 weeks after the accident the blow weakened the artery inside his brain and it leaked slowly killing him as they didn't do a cat scan after the accidentthis was back in the 80's so a long time ago.mum still mourns him

  • @donandroz The name rings a bell. That's one reason why they've banned over-centre dogs on WA minesites. That was at Tyco in Somerton.

  • I've been driving Long haul in Canada for the last 23 years, and often thought how much fun I'd have doing what you guys do with the road trains. Have you ever heard of, or do you know anyone who has come from way up here in the north to do that down there. I'd love to give it a go.

  • @sclair463 I've never seen Americans or Canadians driving trucks over here, we only ever see you guys as tourists or as short term consultants on projects. Could be because it is hard to get a working visa? I don't know. I've heard of and know Australians driving trucks on your side of the pond.

  • Got plenty of gauges in your truck, you got some good lights. I thought it was a magnet lifting the pipes off until I read suction.

  • @gm16v149 thanks,i never use dog and chains myself if i can avoid it but,as you know some loads have to be chained.i,m always getting it from the boss about using to mant straps but hey i havent had any damage to loads since giving myself a scare.so pays to be cautious and careful
