@smartguy9765 I honestly think Shinji Ikari is the most honest portrayal of a young male character ever. I mean he's 14, he has the pressure of Misato, his father and the whole NERV team to 'save the world', also not to mention his father abandoned him when he was young and his mother died at a young age. Shinji was also technically in care. It's a fact that young men like Shinji are highly represented in depression rates, suicide rates, prison rates, etc, etc.
