this has some 'epic' content, you explained so perfectly. they now seem to disappear and then re-appear as a white haze, seems they have found a way to prolong the reaction, i thought the barium makes the white and they silvery grey is the aluminum lining, they always have that lining mostly along the bottom, so, even the 'disappearing' trail you show is too large, it should be more pencil thin, i live near an airport i see this happen then a commercial jet flies by nothing out the back,

@JamCamDelta i've been seeing the exact same thing in the Detroit area. I watch even more closely these days as the super long trails dissipate more quickly. I suspect that they have developed a way to make the spraying less obvious because many people have been waking up. I noticed a general drop off in spraying and in recent weeks but spraying resumed these past days at night (i can see the trails by moonlight).
