Innocence destroyed, hearts crushed, honesty abandoned = big city?; = big government? Kind of a rhetorical question. The apparent conclusion one derives is that power, wealth & fame = dishonesty deception, corruption, immorality; and poverty/small income/rural living = honesty/integrity. Shouldn't be that way. I'd take Mary in a heart beat, were I worthy. BTW - this was "Chicago politics" 100+ years before Obama. Imagine it during his tenure!
