OMG, I tried this recipe and used Valdalia onions and after about 20 minutes of smelling those gorgeous onions and butter I had to band myself from the kitchen to keep from eating them before they even caramelized. They smell sooo good and I added shallots to mine so it was doubly good. But patience is truly needed when making these beauties and I promise you, it is totally worth the wait. Thanks again for sharing this great recipe.
