The 1982 South African Grand Prix at Kyalami Circuit, Midrand, Gauteng, near Johannesburg. BBC commentary by Murray Walker and James Hunt with Barry Gill, and Australian coverage by Alan Jones also with bits of German commentary by Heinz Pruller. Sorry about some of the audio which is poor in some spots. Also included are seperate interviews with Niki Lauda and news reports (some quite humorous) about the infamous FOCA-FISA war and drivers boycotting the race because of regulations they deem to be unfair.

  • How young does Derek Warwick look? LOL

How young do they all look

  • James Hunt has been drinking again

  • Heinz Pruller is the man. I've been listening to his commentary, and he's the Murray Walker of Germany. Been doing it for decades.

  • walker siempre se la echaba

  • Around lap 35, Murray Walker says some amazing things about Alain Prost: "He's been in motor racing for more than 36 years.... He won the European Kart Championship as early as 1955." What the hell was he talking about?
