"Phases" - movements in a changing environment

The dance production "Phases" premiering in the KUMU auditorium on November 6 examines, by using Steve Reich's specific energetic music, which thoughts and traces we leave behind and how they influence our surrounding environment.
The choreography of Fine5 Dance Theatre's production "Phases" is based on a phrase by L. Wittgenstein: "How small a thought it takes to fill a whole life".
Choreographers Tiina Ollesk and Rene Nõmmik and musician Risto Joost got their inspiration for the new dance production from contemporary minimalist music and from the work of one of the brightest representatives of contemporary music - Steve Reich.
In Reich's music, minimalism is mixed with rythmic impulsiveness, which as a result creates a contemporary and dynamic sound. In addition, live music will be performed during the piece by Ensemble Voces Musicales.
