My RX-7 FD - troubleshooting - weird idle

At the beginning of the video, you can see the throttle kind of cuts out despite the fact I'm not moving my foot on the gas at all. Also, the car likes to idle at around 1100-1200rpm, sometimes it'll go down to 900. It's relatively smooth on the tach but it's sounds and feels lumpy in the car and there are lots of small pops out the exhaust. Any ideas?

it was the TPS. also check for vacuum leaks. lastly you may have a lower intake manifold leak. that will be a big pain in the ass to fix.

seems to be a vacuum leak. but i think there may be other problems with it as well. i'm going to take the upper intake manifold off, redo most of the 4mm vacuum hoses and see if that helps things. if not, well i'll keep looking.

Maybe in Canada they have piston powered rotorys, i hear their wheels are squared too.

mine is a non turbo 13b and it occasionally does this too??? it also seems to hit the wall at the usual 4ooo but not all the time not at all cold

I've had that problem on my FC a long time ago.. I found out that there was a Vacuum leak...

you have obviously fixed it by now, but it's a misfire/airleak check all vacumm hoses and intercooler hoses for lose fittings, and even go over them with a spanner again just to tighten them up =)
