Line of Fire - Goose Green (5/5)

The Battle of Goose Green is among the most famous and bloody battles of the Falklands War, as well as the fist major land engagement. The men of 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment eventually defeated a force approximately 3 times their size. 47 Argentines lost their lives, along with 17 Paras (including the legendary Lt Col ''H'' Jones VC).

and honestly, Hitler's first realization that his plans weren't going to go down that easy... was the battle of Britain!

The boys of the RAF took whatever the Luftwaffe gave them and threw it back at them with compound interest :-)

lol, i have read much about stalingrad. Yes, it was a epic battle. But hitlers first taste of defeat was at the hands of the British in el alamein. That said Stalingrad was truly the biggest battle ever fought (and most gruesome)

@malvinas2072forever No, Britain won because our men were tougher. And our men were willing to fight to the bitter end while most Argentines wanted to surrender as soon as possible. God was on our side because your country was the aggressor and we wanted peace.

Many inane, irrelevant commentary I am reading. Soldiers of both sides fought to the best of their abilities and leadership. The British succeeded due to professionalism perhaps, but mainly because the Falkland people whom they were fighting for, are also British. God bless all those who fell, particularly the Argentinians, neglected in death by post governments of the country they fought for.
