The red shirts don't represent democracy. They're being used by the fugitive criminal Thaksin Shinawatra in a destabilization tactic. He is now hiding outside of Thailand, trying to topple the current legitimate government and remove the King from his throne. Thaksin has lost his mind, he actually believes he is the rightful ruler of Thailand. Most Thais were happy to see him go, and they wish he would just leave Thailand alone.
