@whisky2roxy I didn't see a comment making fun of Neil and I don't think he has become pretentious in any way....have seen him several times in concert over the years and he always puts on an amazing show. But if anyone DID imply that or make fun of him (or Elvis who had a beautiful voice and charisma out the wazoo)we can just figure they are either Britney/Bieber fans or their mama dropped them on their head when they were a baby....or both....and feel sorry for them.

Sing a song ... sing a song of songs! Sing it out! Sing it strong! ♥ Yeah!

Ah, what a legend - like so many for that era - better and more genuine than some of the artificial "crap" played these days!! But then I am pushing 50 after all!! :-)

Stop Neil Diamond is one of the best

Best version of this song I have seen on the web. Tremendously compelling performance. Thanks for the great upload.

Back in the day.... there were singers who could sing. Most of today's singers scream or screech or yowl instead of singing. Listen to the singers of the 1940s and 1950s. And a few from the 1960s. Their voices were vocal instruments, played beautifully. It's so sad that today's youngsters almost never hear such glorious music. Yes, Neil Diamond is a legend, along with Johnny Cash and a few others.

living legend.....what a singer song writer

@catkisser You are clueless.
Yes go ahead and make fun of Neil, Elvis, etc. Maybe in their later years they became a bit pretentious and comical. But truth is there is more talent in their snot than 99% of today's so-called "musicians"
