Father consoles his son. Universal message. I created this video as a tribute to all dads and sons spanning the globe. DRH, as some call him, is an inspiring artist whom I encourage you to listen to.

Son, but you don't understand
My words might never explain
So I am hoping that time will
Things may not go as you planned
Dark clouds might bring you pain
But I will be in your heart still
Telling you

Don't look down
Don't feast your eyes on the things that are on the ground
And if it gets hard to focus
When you're travelling almost at the speed of sound
Feeling nowhere bound
Remember what I told you
And don't you dare look down
Don't look down, no

No father wants his son
To repeat the wrongs "daddy" has done
I want you to get it right, child
I won't always be here for you
So to yourself always be true
And if you get lost
Use that inner light child
Shine it and

Don't you look down
Don't feast your eyes on things that are on the ground
And if it gets hard to focus
When you're travelling almost at the speed of sound
Feeling nowhere bound

Almost out of control
Hold on, know its in your soul
Because something is within
That you can count on when
There is no hand to hold
Then the world feels dark and cold
Remember what I told you
And don't you dare look down

Don't you dare look down
Don't your dare look down
When your travelling almost at the speed of sound
Don't you dare look down

  • What a gentle and touching song! My father was a great guy. His heart-to-heart talks with me stay with me even years after he passed on. Love you, Dad. Hope you're watching

  • My father walked out of my life when i was 6 years old, since then i have not been able to make sense of what went wrong. i realized he left because he could not be the man he needed to be, i vow to be there for my child son or daughter... NO MATTER WHAT, I WON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES.

  • @Kamazja i don't know what im being thanked for but your welcome.

  • @prbl3m -thank you. !

  • My dad lost his father at 10 years old by a car crash. The other kids at school laughed at him and I'm sure that made it almost unbearable to cope. I'm just glad that he made it through okay so he could be the good father he is to me. R.I.P Gramps...maybe one day in heaven I'll finally get to meet the wonderful man everyone says you were.

  • I loved this song from the first time I heard/saw it on Biker Boyz. Incredible song with and incredible message.... Makes me think every time I listen to it. It's one of those songs that stops me in my tracks and forces me to reflect on the lyrics...

  • from a mother, grandmother, and one who has lost my father, this song is so refreshing to here from a man who seems to know exactly what it means to be a father. I thank you. and much love to you and your family

  • Song is moving cuz I've been havin a hard time with my dad death last year cuz march 15, will be the 1 year anniversary. And this song reminded of what my dad told me what to do in the last couple days he was alive and I've forgot and this song reminded me of what he told me. His voice is good and he is a real singer. Not like artist 2day it's good 2 hear real music again. Thanks David Ryan Harris
