Gwendolyn Strong Foundation | Chase Community Giving

SMA - Spinal Muscular Atrophy - kills more babies than any other genetic disease. SMA is currently a death sentence. But, there is enormous HOPE! Research is on the brink of a cure, but in desperate need of funding.

We started the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation (GSF) to fight alongside our daughter, Gwendolyn, in her battle with SMA. GSF focuses on raising awareness of SMA and funding research accelerating towards that cure.

In December 2009, our supporters voted us one of the top 100 charities of more than 500,000 organizations in the Chase Community Giving campaign on Facebook. We received $25,000 from Chase, 100% of which is already in the hands of researchers for a promising SMA program at UC Irvine, and have moved on to the final round with a chance to win $1 Million.

We are fighting to end this disease and $1 Million will have an immediate and direct impact on making a cure attainable -- to save Gwendolyn, to save all children battling SMA, and to ensure no future babies are stolen by this cruel disease.

i have sma type 3 and it will never be cured thay say it will but its easy money for them i pray for death every day its pure hell its like cancer thay have millions up on millions and still cant cure it im from the uk and its the same in the usa greed
