@Discostunz69 Yes. There is only one God my friend, & He is the author of creation. He made us in our mother’s wombs & deeply LOVES us all. He is also holy & just, & cannot look upon sin. He views our own “works” as “filthy rags” & so we could never bridge the gap between God & us. Therefore His only begotten Son Jesus came down to earth to pay the terrible price on the cross, that was demanded for our sins, to reconcile us all to God.

@Discostunz69 Jesus is the Way, the Truth & the Life, & He promises that ALL who call on Him shall have everlasting life. He is “Saviour” because all who turn to Him (truly repent of their selfish/bad lives thus far) will indeed be saved from an eternity in Hell.

He knocks at the “door” of every heart & waits. It’s up to us if we open the door to Him or not, the “handle” is on the inside. His gift of Life is FREE & we get assurance of His constant presence from that day onwards. Try Him….

. It was all about bringing them to a real place of real love for a real Holy God. Since they failed miserably they now needed a Savior to do this for them to keep them from eternal destruction as well as help for the now. That is why JESUS, JESUS< JESUS is so wonderful to us who believe, because it is the same for us as it was with them. We still offer up our children by the millions to abortion. We still need a SAVIOR. I know His name is JESUS.

He said the reason for their displacement from the land that he was sending his people to go into was because their evil had come to fullness yet only a few had repented when the people saw what the God of Israel had done to Egypt and other nations. He told his people don't be like them for I despise all that is not HOLY and that is what I am calling YOU to if you will have it and Have me as your God

. Yet they still will do what seems right in their sight until they either understand with the minds not to do this and sad to say only after the fact have many understood.. God gave warnings for the good of the people, whom He had called unto himself to not do what he had so despised as those in Canaan had done all the abominable things like offering their children as sacrifices to other god's.

In the Old testament, God was dealing with a stiff necked hardhearted people and normally before Messiah came and the heart beat of God was given to all men, God dealt with people in a way that they understood. LAW! Criminals and rebels understand LAW even if they break it they still know the guilt and pain that will follow.

There is not a shred of evidence of that love. To the contrary, there are many indications that god is either a desinterested spectator of human suffering at best, or at worst ,a sadist, who enjoys human pain and misery.

maybe your "god" (small g), but not my GOD (large G) who is the maker of the universe, and loved us so much, he even sent HIS son to die in our place, to take up our sins on his back (even though Jesus Christ was sinless and blameless)......His blood was shed for your sins and for mine.
