Yeah... people are making this comparison.

While I won't say this video is perfect (unhappy with a few things, but I'm tired, so it goes up as is), I think I pretty much get my point across. It's not the Occupy movement that mirrors the rise of a dangerous mood back in 30's Germany... actually it's another movement that started a few years back. And anyone paying attention knows what movement that is.

  • @Swordsage people comparing ows to nazism is the dumbst thing ever i tell folks never buy into propaganda that says tranny only comes from the left to far left mao/stalin to far right mussiline/hitler always the same tranny

the radical right is trying to downplay fascism as leftwing witch is pure revisionism and non-sence

the nazis were a party for the corporate plutocracy

  • @james1014328 That is certainly my fear, and I'm already seeing attempts by the Democrats to do just that. We just have to hope the people in the Occupy movement don't fall for it.

  • @Swordsage great vid the tea party was a grassroots bipartision movment then it got hijacked by the republican party dick army and the koch brothers in 08

they were simular to ows if ows is not carful they could be hijacked by the democratic party and the likes of sorros

the establishment herded the tea party back to there conservitive reservations

lets hope ows does not get hered back to the liberal reservations

  • bro you need to educate yourself a bit better

  • @Swordsage - The term "abuse" implies that something is being used wrongly. As such, I have to question the use of words like "corruption" or "abuse" when used to describe government activity. But, I think we're debating just to debate.

  • @Shezmu No, I didn't mean that. That would be insane, as people form groups on their own volition. However, any longstanding group or society sooner or later starts to pool resources to help each other out, whether it be money, or food, or services, or whatever they need to keep themselves and the group going. And some form of order arises on how to manage themselves and those resources. These are basic tools that we all use on many levels. Government and taxes are just tools that are abused.

  • @Swordsage - Okay then, I retract that part of the statement. Also, did you mean to imply that people don't form groups or come together unless it's forced by the government?

  • @Shezmu You could get rid of taxes, yes, but once that's done, you might as well disband as a society. This is something that a lot of people seem to miss: taxes are pretty much a pooling of a group's resources, and those resources are supposed to be used for the benefit of the society at large, and not just for a few individuals. Think putting in a couple of bucks to get a pizza.

Oh, and so far, I'm not finding anything about protesters on anyone's private property, Koke brother's included.

  • @Shezmu - Finally, I was referring to ideological libertarians, not the party if that makes sense.

  • @Swordsage - Didn't some protesters head over to where the coke brothers or some rich person lived and try to hassle them? I'll retrack that statment if not. I'm against anyone getting tax money. Individual or corporation, doesn't matter. Thus the anarchist title. Also, couldn't the people in this case also "some of it back" by getting rid of taxes, which also wouldn't involve inevitably taking even more money or future money from the people in this case?
