  • "How would you pay for the universe?"

This line tops one of the most articulate and passionate speeches in favor of NASA I have ever heard. Give me two days of prep. and a thousands monkeys on typewriters and I would be hard pressed to come up with something remotely close to what NGT does off the cuff here.

We need more people like his espousing the wonder and virtue of science in a country where ignorance and science denial is seen as a virtue in many places.

  • Preach on, brother Tyson.

  • @Craigmw45

    well put.

  • @Rensune I'm sorry bursting your Sci-Fi bubble, but we're not remotely close to anything of that magnitude, and to achieve something like that would take us at least a few decades after we(Human race) reach Mars.

Like deGrasse said, you must advance the frontier to somewhere like Mars, you must take steps to advance, and not jump over important steps, that will only lead to failure and demoralization.

  • *clap*

  • this reminds of a tele-evangelist program. the religion of liberals, atheism.

  • Watching and listening to Neil speak is like forgetting that it's your birthday, and then walking into an awesome surprise party that all of your friends pulled off perfectly.
