first of all the sniper is faldio who is squad 7's party member and welkin's college friend. he shoot her because he knows that alicia is a valkyria due to her ability to regenerate. so most likely your the idiot for jumping to conclusions.

Anyone with a PSP should know Valkyria Chronicles 3 will let you use a Valkyria during battle, and it will play the epic song from the Alicia v. Selvaria fight. Of course you're limited to 3 actions per stage in Valkyria mode, using a new SP gauge alongside the CP gauge. The lance was greatly toned down for balancing purposes, but she's fully invincible while taking her action.
