Image of what Tecumseh looked like based on a look-alike grandson. Tecumseh prophesied before his death he would return; the tribal elders thought this look-alike grandson WAS Tecumseh reincarnated to save them from the whites. Not so. He wears the medallion of Tecumseh's mother, used in many images of Tecumseh. Tecumseh's return is still awaiting. BTW, This is his wife he's pictured with.

The TEXT beside the portrait reads: "This old photograph is of Tecumsehs grandson and his wife, which was donated to our museum by W.L. Rusty Mundell who founded The Scioto Society, Incorporated. The photograph was given to him by Arthur Rolette, former Tribal Chairman of the Absentee Shawnee Tribes of Oklahoma. Mr. Rolette believed the grandsons name was something like Flight of the Arrow, because of his uncanny sense of direction. His wifes adult name was Solo, because she rode rear guard alone, armed only with a rifle and knife, when they migrated West to Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Because the elders of the tribe believed Tecumseh! Nakude-fanwi udawa, when Arrow was a young child, they secretly acknowledged and were overwhelmed by how much this child looked like young Tecumseh. As he grew older, they were even more amazed at his likeness. But they kept their secret and their silence, waiting for him to manifest himself as their beloved risen leader. He did not."

*edit* Tecumseh had greenish eyes with brownish starbursts in the middle radiating from the pupils. He was also noted by whites of the time to have light colored skin. These were because he was not a full-blooded Native. I have the same color of eyes with the same starbursts as do some other members of our family. This also proves his mother was NOT a Creek as some claim she was; she merely escaped to the Creeks for a short time with her baby.

  • from what ive read of eyewitness acounts of his(T's) appearance, this fits it! he wasnt tall, he had a lean look and sharp eyes!

  • I'm not sure on the "tall" thing; records indicated he was, but I didn't research it. His skin was light for a Native, enough so he could wear white man's clothes and pass for a white. Greenish eyes with a yellowish starburst in the middle like mine (runs in the family). His mother was a redhead, so he may have had overtones of that, too. He was always recorded as striking with a spiritual fire in his eyes. Whites observed and recorded this, too.

  • The Tecumseh Curse is very real. That did happen, which the numbers since Harrison prove. Some people think Reagan killed the Curse and that Bush was free of it since he didn't die in office, but that's because something else - much bigger - is going on. I can't say more other than it will start unfolding very soon.

  • I have often wondered what he "really" looked like. Seeing this vid (along with Family connection, of course) I now have as good of a mental & physical picture as I ever will. Thanks....once again.

  • Monica there's a legend or myth that Tecumseh was known as the native who "cursed" the president and that every 20 years a president would die. Now there's no proof that Tecumseh or his brother said that but it is strange that every 20 years a presidential death has occurred. And I would not be a bit surprised that Tecumseh's grandson is the reincarnated soul of his grandfather. Makes me so happy to believe that.
