"Wheelchair Tango!" (NYU S&S Film Spring 2010)

S&S Film Exercise 2 - Interaction

A disillusioned, wheelchair-bound student's life takes a turn for the better when he meets a girl, happy despite being restricted to a wheelchair as well, who helps him to see the bright side in life.

Shot on 16mm B & W reversal film on the Arri S and edited by hand on Steenbeck for NYU's Sight and Sound Film program under the supervision of Professor Laszlo Santha. As part of the equipment inventory we have access to for the course, students are allowed to rent wheelchairs to use as dollies, and, for my second short, I REALLY wanted to incorporate SOME form of a wheelchair dance. This is the result.
