Where's the plan for Deaf people who go for Deaf Education... Ricky's point is Gallaudet is the ideal place to go. We've had too many hearing students majoring in Deaf Education. I want to see Deaf students majoring in Deaf Education. If you close down this program, it doesn't mean you can't start a new program with new blood, new mission statements. Just a thought here.

Michigan State University is only one place to go for Deaf people to go for Deaf Education in any college... Many Deaf people in Michigan cannot afford to go Gallaudet University.

@tar2096, 2 things to share w u. 1: no, michigian isn't the only state that there's many deaf people who can afford to attention Gallaudet univ. New York city is one of them.. And know what? Really it apply to all 50 states. 2: yes, u r right once college/univ establishment deaf education, it end up will developing strong and exposes deaf's definition/culture.

i didn't know Michigan State have Deaf Education Program. I was told no they didn't have the program when i applied 15 years ago. hmmm
