Wonder, how people are worried about shivites and vaishnavites that too on Bharatiyar songs.Concentrate on songs and just get immersed in its beauty.

Truly said, music takes you near to GOD easily than other hard penances. Keep on hearing fine songs like this and your heart is purified, God comes and resides in it.

I am blessed to hear such songs by a great singer like Nithyaji.

Good Evening Carnatic Musical Vocal Exponent, vidhushi sow.Nithyasree Mahadevan, thank you very much for our Legendary Poet Mahakavi Sri Subramaniya Bharathiyar Songs.

Does anyone know where I can find the lyrics to this carnatic piece?

@FascistFashion Hi, this may be late but Krishnaswamy doesnt determine his affliation as someone has said. People with names of Shiva are devotees of Vishnu and vice versa, and more importantly, a basic tenet of Hinduism is that Shiva and Vishnu are the same. So devotion to both is best. Besides, Krishnaswamy is a Shiva name, since it means Lord (Swami) of Krishna. Krishna is/was considered one of the foremost devotees of Shiva. Hope this clarifies your doubt :)

You are right - white horizontal lines indicate that a person is a Shivite. And Shiva devotees do have a lot of names that sound like Vishnavites...

Great one!!!!
This might sound stupid but i'm really curious...
The violinist's last name is KRISHNAswamy, but the don't the white lines on his forehead mean that he's a Shiva devotee?

His surname wouldn't determine his sectarian affiliation.
