  • Beck #14 ... absurd. He is arguably the most original, innovative and unmatched guitarist in the history of rock. Maybe, and it is only a maybe, Jimi Hendrix could be his equal for doing with the electric guitar what no other human has done.

Rolling Stone once again proves it's irrelevance.

  • @onceuponamidnightdry absolutly correct!!

  • I've always hated Rolling Stone Magazine for a lot of reasons I won't go into here. And I usually don't like lists of the best this or that. But for Beck to be rated 14th is just beyond absurd. Simply idiotic. Rolling Stone sucks. And yes Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist. He's the most inovative and interesting to listen to. No one else seems to be able to pull the sound like he does.

  • I don't care what them rated or said,

or what kind the "best guitar solo ever",

Jeff Beck is always the best in my mind.

    Thank you for coming!

  • there will never be anothe voice like pavarotti's. and jeff beck is one- of -a -kind. i'll always remember this song and 'becks bolero'.

  • These two are GOD's sound.

  • Forget Rolling Stone; any media kisses the ass of sales/cash. Beck fans kiss no ass; we idolize Beck for free!

  • Oh my! I don't even like electric guitar but I must agree w/ Pava when he said in talking about this cut on Ti Adoro that w/ Jeff Beck the song has new power and energy! Pava is my heart but the way Beck spins that sound around Pava's God blessed voice is---------heart stopping!

  • @renduke pavaroti knew Beck was in his own league and thats why Beck is on the recording

  • @eastcoasterner listen to beck understated complimenting the voice not in the way of it...at 4:50 to 5:00 there isn't a guy who ever lived who can get that sound not hendrix not vai not stevie ray vaughn No One.....jeff beck, django reinhardt, steve vai the 3 greatest who ever lived in that order i don't care what anyone says...clapton isn't even in becks league

  • without question. the greatest tenor of the 20th century and beyond.

  • It's impossible for me to rank the top guitarists of all time...there's no # 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5....Jeff Beck is definately up there though. Top 5 in no particular order would have to be Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and BB King but even the top 10 would be in no particular order.

  • I've been dragging my guitar head friends to see Jeff Beck since 1969, and without exception, at the end, they are all in tears thanking me. Most think they know what he's about until they see him live..... then he just shatters all their circuits. WTF!!!

  • I've seen that 14th thing and checked out the list,I just saw Keith Richards on #10 and laughed. He's supposed to be better than Jeff Beck?

  • Two of the greatest singers ever. One of them sang with his voice, the other sings with his fingers. Both sing with the voices of angels.

  • jeff, has the power of the planets at his finger tips.

I would like to thank the planet that loaned jeff to us.

surely.. no human can do what he does with a guitar..

for god's sake don't take him back home.. we love him far too

much here on earth..play on jeffery..play on.
