2006 Mustang V6 4.0 Pony Pck
K&N Drop in($48), No Muffler, Straight Pipe Custom build with less than $50, installation was easy.
Altitude 6,000 feet
Video Recorded in Closed Track
Stock was running 0-60 in 6.66sec
Due to the economy, no money for supercharger yet,
I decided to remove the exhaust,
I build a cheap home made pipe and K&N drop in = 6.3 sec 0-60 now
Stock was running 0-85mph in 14 to 15 sec, and now with custom cheap pipe 12.20 sec

  • what gears do you have in there?

  • @JPMRIR2 stock gears.

  • I used a timer and got 7.1 seconds stock on my 06 v6. I recently got a CAI and an 89 tune from Bama, but I haven't gotten around to timing it yet. I can feel the increase in power and responsiveness really easily, so I know it will be a significant increase.

  • @sabatini210 Post a video. I am about to change a lot of things in mine and will post the resulkts late next summer. Right now I'm stuck in Afghanistan and the car is in a storage.

  • I do not care what anyone say stock you will not get those numbers at 6000ft. I got about 7.1 at 2,650. And removing a muffler adds moderate power nothing special. Definably not at 6000ft lol.

  • @wolf1010

Maybe because I was killing the car a lot. The tires have a lot to do on mine.

  • sounds amazing!

  • @omarstreetrod I'm gonna try once the salt and snow clears up around here in Ohio. Maybe a video of me sliding around on the ice before then though.

  • @omarstreetrod its a T3/T4 turbo setup off of ebay, works like a charm, i may have overexaggerated, i run a 12.53 as my best, thats with about 10-11lbs of boost, i had a professional shop fab me a manifold and setup the dyno tune, total cost me around 2k, very inexpensive for what im running, but the built block cost me a hair over 4k haha

  • @2muchreality4u Thanks for the effort. I will double check my video maker chrono.
