PINK REASON - EGOR LETOV TRIBUTE

a few days after the passing of Egor Letov.. Kevin of Pink Reason dedicated the first couple songs of his set to Egor.. the first is a cover sung in Russian / the second is an Egor-styled version of "borrowed time".. Kevin credits Egor Letov as a primary inspiration for his own music.. this was recorded February 22, 2008 at Market hotel in Brooklyn, NY.. Kevin did an opening introduction about Egor but that unfortunately is not on this video..

in Kevin's own words (2-19-2008): "Egor Letov was my hero from the time I first heard him at the age on 12 in Kurgan, Siberia. His music provided the direct inspiration for Pink Reason. He died today at the age of 44 from complications related to his heart troubles. Most of you don't know who he is, but those of you who want to hear where Pink Reason comes from would do yourself a lot of good to seek out his music."
