@cw1310 Well I think, the fact that at that time, the only film that they had was silent film. Sound did not come in until I think 1929. After that I guess that they said sound is here lets go with it. good move

Actually there were a few survivors who were over 100 in 2009. San Francisco must promote longevity!

What is amazing is they suffered a huge quake and most folks were sleeping yet they had time to put on their fancy cloths.

Next time -- it will be leveled according to the scientists of the world. They were able to rebuild a new city but soon- it will fall into the Pacific Ocean. Quite the film to watch & women all had hats! Many men,too. Thank you for sharing such an extra-ordinary film.
