Fresh hop up and first run on a ms660 for a faller in Nevada. It has a chain with only the second grind so it is at a disadvantage there. Still dialing in the jetting also. The 390 has cut a lot of wood but it has a modified combustion chamber and still runs pretty good. The 394 has a low mileage top end on it and the chain is on its 4th maybe 5th grind. All the bigger saws have a 115 driver chains with 8 tooth sprockets. The 372 has a 110 driver chain and large sprocket. It is has a BB kit on it with about a tank of gas run through it - the carb is pretty much dialed in here. It is another Frankensaw with not all stock 372 componets. Check out the difference between this run and test #2 for the 660 after the chain and carb are adjusted. Also notice the big difference with the 390 and 372 dealing with the knots -. The 660 clipped a knot too. Thanks for watching and have a nice day!

  • Is a 395xp worth getting?

  • Is the question a 395 compared to a 394, or some other saw?

Thanks for watching and have a nice day!

  • well I am torn JB. I like em all. So should I mod my 084 or my 088? Also want to soup up my 2100CD for next summer..

  • If you "do" the 088 get an 084 carb for it. The crank case on the 088 is a better design. On the 2100, what style of piston is it sporting? It will make a difference. If you need someone to massage any of your saws I am available.

Thanks for watching and have a nice day!

  • long live the 372

  • How do you lke those light weight bars for falling.

  • Seems like the huskies were running at about 30 seconds whiel the stihl ran at 36 seconds... sounds about right..

Does your wife ever complain about all the sawdust in your pockets? :)

  • @hotsaws101 Compared to like the Stihl 660 or the 385xp. I've found quite a few of those 3 for sale, and was wondering what would be the best balance of weight and performance.

I've also heard rave reviews of the Dolmar 7900, but that saw is quite pricey.
