I have a V1 and it works better than any other unit Ive ever had. That said, i recently got a ticket as a result of LIDAR and there really is not defense against a properly trained officer and a laser.

I have been strongly considering getting one of these. I essentially never speed, but my car is awful darn loud when I'm on it, so I thought it might be worth it.

Valentine about drove me crazy with false signals. My Escort 9500i locks ouit falses....now it's quiet unless theres a cop!

i bought one valentine and returned it because, most of the cops use lasers, and every radard is no good for laser, the other things cops do when they drive is turn off their radars and if they spot a speeder they turn it on and then radar beeps and it to late, talking from experice had this happen to me. it not worth to speed.

The only place to buy the V1 is directly from them. "valentine1" You will get the best price there..And you will also (for sure) get the latest firmware release. Great CS! No worries with these guys. But ya have to go direct to their company. (you can call them up voice with your CC too)
Last reminder. Since the V1 costs so dam much.. There is a very good chance that somebody might bust your windshield to steal it. I cover mine up with a towel the same color as the dash.

How did it recognize the speed trap when you already passed it ?
LOL I don't understand what keeps the countries from placing simple cameras every 5-10 miles or so which will take your number plate and time and calculate your average speed ?
