  • where did rap like this go?

  • AINT NOTHING EVER GONNA TOUCH THIUS CD. TO MUCH PASSION AND HELLA HUNGRY AT THE TIME. IM FROM THE 200 AND EVERYTHING MARCEL TOUCHED TURNED GOLD. WHAT UP LOUIE LOU ITS YA BOYS MEL AND MARV FROM THE APARTMENTS 200 I SEE YOU. R I P KILLA KIESE R I P COUGNUT

  • @TRIPLESIXSICCNESS That wasn't my point. My point was the underground movement has always been the heart and soul of Bay Area music. Too $hort was the first West Coast rap superstar, that is not debatable. $hort came up selling tapes independently in the streets. $hort influenced NWA and Snoop. However, the Bay was heavily influenced by The Chronic and Death Row. Most folks from other places never even knew Frisco even had a rap scene, period, because 99% of it was underground.

  • thumbs up if your slappin towards the end of 2011

  • @U2Bdewd that aint from brady bunch different sound nigga

  • @thagoldenchild07 LA has a big underground Hip-Hop scene, and I'm guessing by reading your comment, you have never heard of them, all you hear on the Radio is mainstream gangsta rap, you have yet to hear the the big LA underground Hip-Hop, you wan't to check em out? just ask, I'll name some dope music you've never heard before.

  • dont ever question me on the bunch lol

  • Fuck ya this is the Jam

  • @loulou3t I'ma give those youngins in L.A. a pass because Bay music has always been more underground than L.A.'s movement all the way since the Too $hort days. Some old heads over 25 in L.A. know about those old Bay classics. But our music was ultimately for the block and by the block. No record labels or movies. There are hella classic independent albums that came out the Bay in the 90's that I haven't even heard and where I'm from is the Bay Area equivalent of Queensbridge or the Nolia.

  • @thagoldenchild07 Im talking whole city and some of the state...It wasnt uncommon to hear someone riding down a strip or in town playing an unknown WC rapper at that time, shit just slaps in the trunk LOL I went to LA about a year ago and some kats that were rapping was selling Cds. So I asked them what happen to 11/5, UDI, Mac Mall and all these other WC Groups and Mcs? They was like "Who?"

Man it really disappointed me that those cali youngsta didnt even know their own state legends..LOL
