The CPX is a small external fixator used to treat distal radius fractures. The CPX does not cross the wrist joint, allowing patients to move their wrist during the healing process. The surgery is minimally invasive and does not result in permanent, internal hardware (plate). The CPX is typically removed in six weeks.
