@taolun88 well if you knew about music you would know that dependingon the style the voice has to sound certain ways and some need to have more air some some less. for example if you're an opera singer you're voice cannot have any trace of oir unless you have to do it for dramatic purposes and in others like a lot of jazz the voice has more air

Tao what, in your opinion, constitutes "substance", in music? Define what you mean, tyhen we can measure what Wu Fei does by that standard. And then maybe we can also measure John Zorn, Bobby McFerrin, and so on. Honestly I don't think it's about being Chinese or exotic, (or not ONLY about those things) - it's about touching people's hearts and minds ... and she does that.
