Il Ratto di Proserpina (1621-22) & Apollo e Dafne (1622-25) are two of the best works made by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This sculptures are currently conserved at the Galleria Borghese (Rome).

  • che bello! Ti voglio bene Bernini

  • super amazing stuff...carve out of stone, patience and sacrifice...it's mind blowing.

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this video.I was so disapointed when they wouldn't allow us to take snaps in the gallery. Your video helps keep the memory of my visit fresh and also share it with my mother who couldn't come on the trip. Thanks again!:)

  • placed into my playlist of Bernini, thanks

  • I am so sorry this low quality video does not rapresent the magnificent beauty of the statues. Foreigners, believe you me, coming all the way to Rome is worthwile only for this 2 statues.... Not to tell you about the 6 (six Caravaggio) on display in the (same) Borghese gallery.

  • Thank you for posting this it brought back a fond memory. They are just as I remember them 20 years ago...

  • These sculptures are magnificent. Bernini is magnificent! I started crying when I actually saw them in the museum. They're so unbelievable.
