This song is truly wonderful! The lyrics are so powerful, and they reflect the way little towns in Italy suffered from massive migration during the first half of the 20th century ("fare l'America"). And I think this version is much more powerful than the one from Ricchi e Poveri...and please, are you really telling me that "il cuore e uno zingaro" defeated this song???? Come on!!

beautiful song. i dont understand the words since i dont follow the language but i just loved this song. i heard it recently in Rome when i had been there. i listen to it almost everyday.
