Mega Man X8 Navigators (Unlocking Alia, Layer, and Pallette; their chips; and other random facts)

Several viewers wanted to know from me about how to unlock Alia, Layer, Pallette when they commented on several of the gameplay videos I uploaded using the navigators.

There were no videos showing much about the Navigators other than mine and a few other YouTube users, so I will step up and do some vocal commentary about the Navigators and how the chip system works with them. I will also speak up about several facts concerning the Navigators's playstyles in respect to the playstyles of their male counterparts.

I only touched upon the most commonly known parts on unlocking the item that needs to be bought in order to unlock the particular Navigator (using the Navigator to you want to play as the most, clearing the game, and saving the clear file, etc.)

Just remember that Alia, Layer, and Pallette are NOT weaker versions of regular X, Zero, and Axl respectively as most people think. They are equals in terms of significant gameplay functions.

I don't usually do commentary videos because I don't think my voice sounds adequate compared to the average person, but I did my best because I love my Navigators, and the Navigators needs some love.

I might add in annotations and/or captions upon viewer request.

Where do you get that number of metals ?

@CozFreak In several places. I keep on beating bosses, hitting the mechanoloid in the Metal Valley with Ray Gun, and/or doing the Central White Intermission. You'll need time and dedication to get the metals.

Put it this way, use the navigator you want to unlock first the most as your navigator and beat the game, whether it is Alia, Layer, or Pallette. Once you beat the game and have enough metals, buy the corresponding weapon for the character you want to unlock (Alia Buster, Layer Rapier, or Pallette Bullets.) Once you unlock the navigator(s) and want to play as them, choose a stage and press the triangle button while choosing Hunters.

Wow. You chose hard mode and you get AAA. I only can get AA in Hard mode. And by the way, how do you get AAA at the snow stage.

@Jifchannel3399 I had to use X or Alia as my main at Central White. I used their versatility of regular and charged shots as necessary. I think that the cutoff is this:

Time: Less than 7 minutes

Enemies destroyed a little over 130, 140, or 150 (iffy estimation here)

Minimum combo required: 70 or 80
