I was on tour with The Isley Brothers the summer of 1980 and into 1981.. GAP opened for us that year and beyond... I became good friends with Robert and Charlie and Calhoun (drummer/percussionist).... They were so much fun! Unassuming, down to earth, just regular!!!! Not stars... It felt lkike I had known these guys all my life. I'm sure you all know that feeling... Ran into Charlie at a rehearsal studio in North Hollywood... Wishing there was a way to reach Charlie... I'm missing Robert!

I feel like this is one of the greatest songs of all time. Simple Melody yet powerful. Not to mention one of the greatest if not THEE greatest Vamp in the history of All time. KEEP RUNNIN!!!!!!!

See, I'm "ole school" yall. The Gag Band was IT for me with for me, as the slow songs go. I was unfortunate to be apart of this exlperience back then. However, when I became a "GROWN ASS MAN" and went to the concerts, it was OVER. I was able to see what the adults in my life was "feeling, seeing and experiencing" and I was hooked. Thank You Gap Band...... IT IS sooooooo wonderful being a "GROWN ASS MAN'......
