  • @bunjit1 Obviously you have NO clue. Yes, it is a pushrod engine and the cam IS driven by a timing chain. As for the noise, I would have to agree with bugeyev8. These engines are known to wear #3 cam lobe.

  • @mgguy78667 must be from the car next door then since this is a pushrod motor

  • Just hold it wide open and after a while the noise will stop...

  • you need a new rocker shaft and rocker shaft bushings as well as having the rocker arm re faced, it could also be a flat camshaft on # 3 like so many have

  • actually that could be the normal sound of the tappets set to the correct clearences. If it starts sounding more like a lower pitched knocking then the clearences are set too wide, if the sound goes away then the clearenceces are set too close and that will rob you of horsepower.
