We fully recognize your continued efforts to raise the standards of the occupational therapy rehabilitation services provided here in Nigeria. While promoting Occupational Therapy Services that will enable those in need to return to being able to perform their activities of daily living and occupations at an optimal level of existence. We respect the fact that you facilitate the change process needed for your clients to go from a state of dysfunction to that of both greater efficiency and increased functionality. In short ,people admire your hard work, listening and assessment skills, and the effort you make in the area of continuing your professional development supported by attending/participating in workshops, in-services, and research projects.Least we forget to mention your ethical conduct, morality, attitudes and awareness that makes you an important part of any facility, institution, clinic, school or organization that you work within. • When will occupational therapy move forward like its sister physiotherapy profession in Nigeria, I guess that is a rhetoric question left for us to answer.

  • Besides from the rhetoric, the task is a hand and should be accepted as a challenge to all concern. For all the clients who are in need of the services we need to move progressively as a group.
