@1968DodgePolara According to one of my old car books, the '55 Nash Rambler 4-door sedan base price was $1798.00, and the Cross Country Station wagon was $2098.00. The AC unit was $345.00.
The integrated AC and ventilation with underhood equipment, like on all cars today, was pioneered by Nash-Kelvinator and introduced in 1954. Was licenced to or copied by the other mfrs by the late '50s. Much cheaper and better than the under-rear-seat and trunk mounted units of the time. This really was a unique selling point for Nash / AMC.
this is my dream car has been since I was 5
