Bit more of a personal disclaimer :)
I am incredibly lucky that as a makeup artist and beauty guru here on YouTube, I get 99% of my products sent from brands or given to me at press/pr events and launches. Although, if a product I require for a tutorial is not available as a press sample I will buy it myself. So, some products (the majority) I receive at my request from companies and some I purchase myself, but regardless of the origin of the item, it will always be reviewed with the utmost integrity and honesty. I feature products that I would use myself and believe are good, as I call in products that I am pretty sure will do their job effectively and be to my liking, luckily the majority of the time they do live up to my expectations. I tend not to feature products I have been sent that I do not like as I feel there is no point in giving companies a bad name and if the product is no good I would not wish to use it in a tutorial. However, if I am using a product for the first time on camera (as I often am) and I do not like it, I will say so. Similarly, if a product is incredibly hyped up but is not of the quality it claims to be, I would be sure to tell you. I pride myself on the fact that viewers of my beauty videos can completely trust my opinion and product recommendations. I am not being compensated for this video. I would only ever accept compensation from a company for reviewing their products if I genuinely wanted to use the product and if there were no rules ie. the product having to have a 100% positive review, as I need to be able to be completely honest with my viewers.

  • why can't you buy the real techiques brushes in the uk ?

  • so a flat top brush is better for foundation application ? or a stippiling brush?

  • great video :)

  • i have always used the MAC 187 brush for my foundation and I have always thought that my foundation didn't last long.. I thought it was the foundation (makeup forever HD or Lancome tinted moisturizer), but now I am going to try a new brush first..

And also, I bought the same earrings that you are wearing, they arrived in the post this morning - Love them!!

  • I love the Illamasqua hilighter brush for my foundation- it's like the Jemma Kidd but slightly bigger and doesn't shed. I use it with all MAC foundations, Laura Mericer and Chanel Pro Lumier. It gives them all a perfect air-brushed look!

  • the sigma F80 is very similar to the real techniques brush and that works wonders for me.

  • That orangey look on you is **stunning**! I daresay you could trade it out for your usual smokey look for the summertime and look fresh and gorgeous.

  • tanya you have to try the sigmax brushes they are super dense and fat and give the best finish ever

  • Great review Tanya,it's very helpful...thanks for your clear explanation.Oh I can't wait to see the tutorial for this look, you look gorgeous ! xxx

  • Could you please do a tutorial on how you wash your brushes? :)
