Matt Giraud performs in Caledonia

CALEDONIA, Mich. (WOOD) - American Idol contestant Matt Giraud is in Caledonia performing his first post-Idol solo concert Saturday.

Giraud was invited to perform at the new facilities of Cornerstone church in Caledonia. He will be performing two shows Saturday. In between the shows, Matt will have a meet-and-greet with his fans.

"We really wanted to do something exciting for our neighboring communities", said Brad Kalajainen, Cornerstones Lead Pastor. "Bringing in Matt appeals to people of all ages whether they go to church or not, and what a fun way to invite the public to help celebrate the grand opening of Cornerstones new facility".

Giraud was on the 2009 season of American Idol. He finished fifth on the show.
