Kepler's laws gave us an approximate description of planetary motion around stars. This clip is from the episode entitled, Harmony of the Worlds- part of the Cosmos series. Kepler was also known for writing one of the first works of science fiction, about a voyage to the moon. Centuries later modern science triumphed over medieval superstition, and his dream came true.

  • I just watched this entire episode. Carl Sagan never fails to amaze me. The ending is absolutely epic.
