I agree with you, they did the same thing when this was broadcasted. Most all the papers made a big deal of the fact this was a recording. I am not getting why they are making a deal out of Beyonce's performance being pre-recorded, because she is not the first to do it and she won't be the last. And for all you idiots that weren't around for this... IT IS NOT LIVE !!!

She was actually singing this live. She had made a recording because that's what they usually do in case of an emergency (e.g, the performer loses her/his voice) but Whitney was having problems with the lip syncing and keeping up with the recording so she had to do it live.

If in doubt that she couldn't replicate this as good live, watch her Norfolk concert for the troops where she sings it live bloody fantastically. There simply was no other voice like hers
